Camps

At Travis Hall we offer fun horse camps during most school breaks.  Our weekly summer camps often include an overnight component –  the kids can sleep under the stars with their ponies nearby, after toasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the campfire.  Scary stories optional!

  • Riding lessons twice a day
  • Horsemanship instruction
  • Conformation information
  • Grooming and tacking up
  • Horse health and demonstrations in veterinary and farrier care
  • Safety and handling of horses
  • Games and crafts
  • Nature hikes along the river
  • Tons of fun

Children can attend for a full week or on a daily basis, or in some cases, for half days if enough ponies are available.

Camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Extended hours are available at an additional charge, but must be arranged before camp start dates.  Each camper is required to bring boots or sturdy shoes with a 1″ heel, long pants, an approved riding helmet (we do have some available for use) a nut-free lunch, sunscreen, etc.  Fridays include a BBQ lunch (provided by us)  and a wrap-up party & horse show –  parents are welcome!  Drinks and snacks are provided each day.
